In July 1999, a team of six people who had experience of multinational pharmaceutical companies with well-knitted marketing & selling spirits decided to launch a company by introducing Korean erythropoietin with competitive edge of Swiss intravenous iron. Despite limited resources, they set an ambitious goal to make both products the market leaders in their respective segments. Soon they converted their dream into a reality.

In a short span of five years, this small team burgeoned into a group of eighty well trained members who launched several conceptual products in the market successfully. It recognized RG Pharmaceutica as a trendsetter in the Pharma industry of Pakistan. Currently, 350 employees are working day in day out for the progress & prosperity of the company.

During the last 23 years, RGP team has created several markets by introducing new concepts i.e., redefined intravenous iron as an alternate to blood transfusion in the anemia of pregnancy to keep Hepatitis away from the motherhood and her beloved baby, introduced new molecules in NVP to make a happy beginning of the pregnancy because of good management of morning sickness, Swiss L-Methylfolate to avoid Neural Tube Defects (NTD) for a happy outcome of the pregnancy, and above all Lactase Enzyme Drops for infants’ no more crying etc.  

This persistent success of the company is attributed to the selection of disciplined people, giving them disciplined thoughts through vigorous training, and accustoming them disciplined actions. Consequently, RG Pharmaceutica emerged as a conceptual selling pharmaceutical marketing company in Pakistan. RGP prime focus is to bring new products with agility to contain the adversaries of the disease, human health optimization and wellbeing of our countrymen.

A new state-of-the-art purposely built GMP approved RGP Nutraceutical factory was inaugurated at the end of 2020 at Sundar Industrial State Lahore. The factory is equipped with Quality machines, and its Quality Control Laboratory has the latest test facilities like HPLC & Atomic Absorption in addition to all the necessary equipments. The factory operates under the supervision of Qualified Production, Quality Control, Microbiologist, Warehouse and Quality Assurance Managers who have vast experience in the relevant fields. Our factory aim is that Quality & Credibility is always prior to Profitability.

RGP has established National Warehouse adjacent to the Factory complying with best practice of distribution and it is equipped with segregated area for the products storage as per their temperature’s specification i.e., 24/7 hours operational two Chillers to keep temperature between 4 – 8, < 25 or < 30 Centigrade under the supervision of a Qualified Pharmacist with a dedicated Supply Chain team. We also have supplies vans equipped with Cool Chain to assure smooth supplies to our distributors.        

RG Pharmaceutica wholeheartedly feels its prime responsibility to serve the community whenever there is need of funds to support the humanity either it is 2005 Earthquake in Pakistan or recent event of Earthquake in brotherhood country like Turkey or Syria, and devastating flood of 2023 across Pakistan etc. Notwithstanding, RGP is always ready to support needy & deserving compatriots for education.

Human Resource is the most valuable asset of the company. RGP Top Management i.e., Director Sales, Director Marketing, COO, CEO and Chairman had started their career as Medical Representative and thoroughly know the nitty gritty of this profession. Unfortunately, Pakistan is the most hit country around the globe due to climate change. Being a socially responsible company, the company and our entire team is not missing any opportunity to serve the humanity by contributing donations as per available resources to pileup a reasonable fund in the catastrophic calamity i.e., fierce & devastating earthquake in 2005, and unprecedented monsoon in 2010 that caused one of the worst floods in the history of Pakistan.

We believe that QUALITY supersedes productivity, and profitability in sales, marketing, distribution, and production by keeping “our ethos” intact. We always strive for QUALITY in all fields we operate and believe that if succeed professionally, then profitability is bound to come.

My dream is not to become the Chairman of the No.1 company in Pharmaceutical industry in term of revenue. CEO Message

It was my immense pleasure to earn the position of CEO in RGP, where I joined as Sales Manager & Founder member in 1999. During the last twenty-three years, working with preceding CEO enabled me to learn the legacy, culture, ethos, and sales process of the company at all levels which increased my acceptance among the internal and external customers.

Our top priority is to carefully select the right people conducting several interviews and after appointment equip them with appropriate products knowledge, selling tactics, and necessary tools of ethical marketing and sales activities in the pharma industry. Thereafter, we teach them our core business values before sending them into the field because they are our face in the medical community.

We believe that the first ingredient of a good medical representative is to be an excellent presenter with presentable dressing and willing to start walking with us in search of prescriptions on merit from the core of their hearts. He should not consider any other option and accept this profession as a career till retirement. I must acknowledge that I am privileged to be a CEO who is surrounded by people who hold a similar approach. It enables us to execute our business plan in letter and spirit.

MD Message

It gives me profound feelings to earn the position of Managing Director in the company where I joined as the Manager new Business Development after doing my graduation in Business Management. At the time of appointment, the CEO introduced me as the induction of new blood in the company since other directors had 30-35 years’ experience of pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing. Nevertheless, a winning combination of new blood and veteran experience gave a competitive edge to attain long-term sustainable growth of the company.

New products’ successful launches are the lifeline of any company. Our marketing team believes in conceptual selling and selecting unique molecules with strategic fit in portfolio. Our two launches were placed among the top ten by the IQVIA, IronOne® capsules in MAT Q4-2018, and Feroxyma® injection in in MAT 06/2023.

COO Message

It gives me great feelings of accomplishment to earn the position of Director Sales & Marketing in 2004 and COO position in 2016 in RGP, where I joined as a Marketing Manager & Founder member of the team who laid foundation of the RGP in 1999. During the last twenty-three years, collaborating with my bosses, peers, and sub-ordinates is a part of my lifetime good memories and I learned from everybody who associated with me at any position during my career.

The CEO – who is currently Chairman of the company – had given me a new assignment to make RGP Factory functional. It was a great challenge for me who have only sales & marketing experience throughout the career. The Chairman reminded me the AIM of factory that, “Quality supersede productivity and profitability” as we were already doing in all areas of the RGP since its launch.
